Fitness Month Challenge Week 1

Starting October 1, I decided to workout 5 days a week for an hour. I did it, this week, and feel great. I have been taking group fitness classes every morning around 9 am to 10 am. I got my first day weight, and am excited to watch it go down. Not only do I workout 5 days a week but I have been biking  1.7 Miles each day to get to and from the gym. I also ride my bike to work, multiple days of the week. I am watching what I eat, and have found that celery is my favorite snack to have after an intense workout.

Here are the classes I took this week:

MONDAY: Turbo Kick

TUESDAY: Morning Muscle Up

WEDNESDAY: Pilates Fit

THURSDAY: Barbell Strength

FRIDAY: Step Right Up

I found I was having a hard time following and keeping up with the Turbo Kick  and Step Right Up classes. But they were the classes, I was sweating and moving the most. I thought that the Morning Muscle Up and Barbell Strength classes were intense. I will make sure to use higher weights to really feel it after the workout, next week. The Pilates Fit class was super challenging, I was laughing in the middle because the instructor makes the moves look so easy. I am excited to keep up this routine.

Wordless Wednesday: Football Dreams

On September 13th, we welcomed our newest family member into the world. Trevor "Calev" Baird was born early this morning to Joel & Chelsea Baird of Woodstock, IL. The scheduled arrival went as planned. Trevor "Calev" Baird has been well received as a new little brother for Javey.

Though his first name is Trevor, he will be called Calev. Upon arrival, Calev is a healthy 7lbs, 6oz and is certainly something to see. Calev is the fourth Trevor in a line of Trevor Bairds that extends the last 80 years ... but now, God has allowed us to hold our very first American-born Trevor.

He is my first nephew after having six adorable nieces. I am excited to watch this little bundle of joy grow up, and hopefully following in his Father's footsteps by one day playing football.
